How do you solve for inequalities in general?

With variables in them? I need to learn how do them for a class and i cant remember how to solve them correctly. A sample equation would be. 12x>_6.5x>+20,000 (Greater than or equal too) IS it like solving for an equality?

U know 6.5x>20,000 (a.) & u know 6.5x 20,000/6.5) b)I since you know x> 20000/6.5 plug in 20000/6.5 for x of first half of part b then 20000 ~1667 plug in each into original situation and see which makes sense

Yes. Just use what you already know about equations and you'll be ok. Just don't forget to change (flip) the inequality sign when dividing by a negative argument. 12x ≥ 6.5x > 20,000 12x - 6.5x ≥ 0 > 20000 - 6.5x 5.5x ≥ 0 > 20000-6.5x I don'tk now if you copied it correctly, but this is what I wound up with and can't do anything else with it, besides plugging in numbers. .
