I'm thinking that you didn't calculate the derivativecorrectly. N'(x) = 0.06x + 0.315 Therefore, N'(-2) = -0.0885 million citizens per year(use -0.089),and N'(27) = 1.6515 million citizens per year (use 1.652). Again, these are RATES OF CHANGE of the functionN(x). As desired... Mike

Take the derivative N'(x)= 0.06x + 0.315 i think the base is 1995 not 2000 so 1998 is 3 years from 1995so try x=3 N'(3)= .495 million increase in 1998 2027-1995= 32 N'(32)= 2.235 million increase in2027 try these to see if they work
