Ok, heres the question I know you must rearrange the equation to solve for "x", so Iget this far before getting stuck: then After coming this far, I see that I need to get the contentsof the tan out so I can finish gathering the x's together tocontinue with the rearranging... How though? OR am I missing some sort of property that would make this allunnecessary like in part (b)?

Y = 8 + x^2 + tan(pi*x/2) exchange x for y (this is what you do to get theinverse) x = 8 + y^2 + tan(pi*y/2) a) F-1(x = 8) 8 = 8 + y^2 + tan(pi*y/2) 0 = y^2 + tan(pi*y/2) y = 0 (y^2 + tan(0) = 0)
