(2x-y)4 + 4y3 = 288 differentiate 4(2x-y)3 ( 2 - dy/dx) + 12 y2 dy/dx = 0 at point (-1,2) 4(-2 - 2)3 (2-dy/dx) + 12(4) dy/dx = 0 -256 (2-dy/dx) + 48 dy/dx = 0 -512 + dy/dx (256 + 48) = 0 dy/dx = 512/304 = 32/19

Differentiating w.r.t x 8(2x-y)^3 differentiating w.r.t y -4(2x-y)^3+12y^2 dxdy = dx*dy at point (-1,2) = -512 * 304 = -155648
