Left hand limit of f(x) at x =1 is 3-1 = 2 Right hand limit of f(x) at x =1 is 3*1-1 = 2 ∴ Limit = 2 but f(1) = 1 which is not equal to 2

As x approaches from the right (x > 1), f(x) = 3(1)-1 = 2 As x approaches from the left (x < 1), f(x) = 3-1 = 2 Therefore, the limit of f(x) at x = 1 is 2. However, f(1) = 1. Therefore, f(xo) is not L. Hope this helped! :)
